Privacy policy

Levelkin is a habit tracker for Android and the web. Android can track offline after sign-in. Your synced plan is available in your account on both platforms.

The short version

Your kins, your habits, the days you ticked them and your progress are stored on your device for offline use. When cloud sync is enabled, they are also stored in your account on our servers so another phone can restore them. Existing local-only plans require a one-time choice to enable cloud sync.

Your account holds your sign-in details and Levelkin Pro status. Synced routines stay scoped to your account and are not sent to RevenueCat.

Your local workspace and synced plan

  • The kins you chose, their levels, XP and forms
  • Your habits, categories, targets and reminder times
  • Your tick history and progress charts
  • Sound, haptics, motion and timezone preferences

Uninstalling removes the local workspace; it does not delete your cloud account. Wait for Cloud up to date before discarding a phone with recent offline changes. Profile → Your data → Start over in Levelkin removes the current plan and syncs that removal to your other phones. Exported files are portable, unencrypted copies; keep them private. Notification consent and animation presentation receipts stay local.

What we store on our servers

When you create an account:

  • Your email address and, when provided by Google or Apple sign-in, your profile name and provider identity
  • A salted hash of your password (never the password itself), and short-lived verification codes we email you
  • The fact that you use Levelkin, and when you last opened it
  • Your purchase and entitlement state: whether you have Levelkin Pro
  • Session records, so you stay signed in and can sign out
  • With cloud sync: kin appearance/category, habits, targets, schedules, reminders, progress, XP history, timezone history and synced preferences

Production traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. We use the shared Lucky Apps backend hosted on Render and MongoDB Atlas to run account sync. This is not end-to-end encryption: the service can read routine records to store and restore them. We do not put routine text in application logs or analytics.

Using Levelkin in your browser

The web app requires an internet connection. Vercel hosts the site and forwards signed-in requests to our shared backend over HTTPS. Essential session cookies keep you signed in and are inaccessible to page scripts. The web app loads your synced plan while it is open. The public demo uses sample data that resets when you leave.

Reports you export

Android PDF reports and browser print reports are prepared on your device from your habit history. Your data is not uploaded to generate a report. If you choose a sharing destination, that destination receives the report you selected.

Permissions

Levelkin asks for notification permission when you choose a habit reminder or explicitly accept a check-in prompt. It does not request your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or health data.

Purchases

Payments are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. We never see your card details. Purchase validation runs through RevenueCat, which receives your purchase information, an app-specific account identifier and device identifiers used to validate purchases and prevent fraud, so it can tell our server whether you have Pro. These identifiers are not used for advertising tracking. It does not receive your habits.

Advertising and selling data

Levelkin contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs. We do not sell or share your data.

Children

Levelkin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

  • Track offline after sign-in. Your saved login allows local habit tracking without an internet connection.
  • Export or remove your plan from Profile → Your data. Plan removals sync when connected; exported files you saved elsewhere remain yours to delete.
  • Delete your account: see deleting your data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we store, we will update the date at the top of this page and mention it in the app’s release notes.
